favorite thing i've read today

'“Contrary to the Anarchist Manifesto, there are some secrets that should be maintained” because they can kill people—such as Afghans who are working with the U.S. to identify members of the Taliban.'

The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth

So I work in the corporate world, for a little old company called Time Warner Cable, and one of the awesome things that huge corporations such as TWC can do is fund programs and extend a wide reach to millions of people.  One of my personal favorites is a program called Connect A Million Minds, aka CAMM, which sets out to build up the positive promotion of learning and interest amongst younger generations in the fields of science, engineering, math (STEM), and technology.  As I dig deeper into my Masters of Library and Information Science education, the more I appreciate development efforts in this area.  I am definitely more creatively bent, but I also love geeks.
